Tablet Technology and Dyslexia Workshop Dublin
( Joyce's Court, Talbot Street)

The aim of this interactive workshop is to equip delegates with knowledge of how tablet technology and apps can be used to the benefit of people with dyslexia. A range of different apps and tablet features will be demonstrated.

Members of the Dyslexia Association of Ireland €40.00

Non-members of the Dyslexia Association of Ireland €60.00

Children and young people can attend for half-price, so the fee per child would be just €20.00 for members and €30.00 for non-members.

Parents, teachers, children and young people, adults with dyslexia, employers and other professionals.

The session will be facilitated by Amy Smyth and Jennifer Byrne of the Dyslexia Association of Ireland.

Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be offered prior to the workshop commencing.

What to Bring

We will be using an Apple iPad (iOS platform). If you have access to such technology we suggest that you bring it along and you can work interactively with the facilitators. Participants are welcome to bring other tablets along (e.g. Samsung, Google, Android), although they should be aware that the workshop will be primarily focused on apps for Apple products and the facilitators may not necessarily be as familiar with other platforms.

Please ensure that your tablet is sufficiently charged to last the session as charging facilities are limited. You are welcome to attend without bringing any of your own technology and we are sure that the workshop would still be useful to you, albeit less interactive in nature.

A basic working knowledge of tablet technology is required to get the most out of this workshop – whilst it is designed to accommodate a wide range of ability levels, it would not be suitable for complete beginners.
