Over the last three years, The Codpast has grown from a glimmer of an idea, into the modern, engaging and positive dyslexia website you’ve come to know and love. The Codpast is a brand that has informed, helped and entertained dyslexics across the globe. We’ve got some fantastic letters and emails from you telling us how much our site has helped and supported you and we’ve loved meeting you in person at our live events.
So that’s the good news, the bad news is that for the next few months, we’ll be taking a hiatus from producing new content for the site. Up until now, The Codpast has been funded by support from our wonderful sponsors (Texthelp, Claro Software, Sonosent [the makers of Audio Notetaker] and Conversor [the makers of NoteTalker]) and donations from fantastic listeners, viewers and readers; the rest is covered by Sean Douglas, the founder of The Codpast. Financially, this is not something that could be sustained indefinitely and taking this into account, we’ve taken the difficult decision to stop creating new content for the next few months. Don’t worry, there’s no need to panic. Over the next few months, we will be pulling out all the stops trying to find the funding to make sure we can continue bringing you this much-needed online resource. And we’ll still be uploading some videos and the occassional podcast.
We plan to keep the website online while we put our energies into securing funding, but unfortunately, there are a few overheads associated with the hosting and maintenance needed to keep this site online and functioning well. So, we are appealing to you to help us with these costs. You can help us to keep the website online in two ways.
1. Make a regular donation via the Donate button on our website (Located at the upper-right corner of this page)
2. Make a regular donation via our Patreon Page. (Donating here will give you exclusive access to all our new content first.)
If each person reading this donates as little as a pound a month, we will be well on the way to covering our costs and keeping our website, videos and podcasts online.
